Neckar Canal and River Tour

This special tour (April - Oct.) will include:

​

• Meet and greet by city guide and host Tom Hale 

• A brief tour through Esslingen on route to the canoe boarding area.  There will be brief stops at the Old City Hall, "Little Venice" and the Maille Island

• Board the canoes (2 canoes each holding 10 people)  life Jackets, paddles and safety instruction will be provided

• Touring Esslingen from your canoe including the main canal (Rossneckar), the Neckar river and the exciting locks (if permission is granted by the locks master)  You will enjoy beautiful views of the town of Esslingen and should see river wildlife during the trip.  Tom, an experienced, English-speaking guide and a skipper will guide on this boat tour.   The exact route is weather and access dependent

• Return to the dock and back to town - Total duration is about 3.5 hour

• Contact Tom if you would like to book a private canoe tour for your group.

Notes:

1)  Paddling is required for some guests, who must be in good condition.  We will board and de-board the canoe in several places so sure footing and balance is required.

2)  This tour is not allowed for children under 6

3) There are no toilet facilities available during the tour (only at the start and end of the tour)

4) Secured lockers will be provided to store you personal belongings prior to boarding the canoes
