Esslingen Historical Walking Tour - New Public Tour

Join us for a historical walking excursion by an experienced, local English-speaking guide, who will enthusiastically show you the best parts of Esslingen - the jewel of Baden-Württemberg!  This public tour is offered on Saturdays during the summer

After a brief introduction, we will make several stops on our walking tour:

• Dates offered:  April 11th and 25, May 9th and 16th, June 6th and 20th, July 11th and 25th, August 1st and 23rd, September 12 and 26th, start time at 11:00 am   Prices: 15 Euros adults, 12 Euros children 6-12, under 6 is free.   Send inquiry to sign up for a tour

• Stops include: half-timbered homes, remains of the city wall, gate towers, castle view 

• The famous 13th century parish church (exterior) and the story about the discovery from 1960

• Beautiful “Little Venice”, romantic canals and the charming “inner bridge”, which connected Esslingen to the outside world.

• “Insider” sites, which are not easily found on your own

• The beautiful park on the Maille island

• The city-hall building with its "Glockenspiel" and astronomical clock - the oldest in Germany!

• Several humorous stories and myths about Esslingen’s history

• There are approximately 10 stops also allowing time for questions and picture taking. ​​​​
